Use your Sprint Treo 650 BT DUN on your TX

I have gotten a few emails asking how to do this, so I'll give you easy instructions.
1. On your Treo under Bluetooth, in preferences set discoverable to yes. Set Dial-up Networking to on.
2. On the TX select Bluetooth under preferences>setup a connection or network service>Phone setup>maufacturer select PalmOne> model Treo 650 next> It will now pair your TX and Treo.
3. Once successfully paired the TX will ask if you want to setup your device to connect to the internet and send e-mail, hit yes> Network service setup, next> Do you subscribe to a high-speed data service, select NO, next> You will now setup a dial up connection to your ISP, next> Phone # enter no quotes"#777">username will be your sprint user name, example blank@sprintpcs.com> enter your sprint password in password, next.
4.On your TX under network settings select dial-up to isp and hit connect.
5. You are now connected and can surf the web,and e-mail on your TX using your Treo's BT DUN.

Comments:
Hey Jimmie, Thx so much for posting this. I am however still having issues. When I go to connect my TX just sits at "Connecting to Dial-up to ISP" and then eventually cancels.

Any ideas?

Adam

No problem glas I could help. Let me just cover the basics.
Are you using a Sprint Treo?
Make sure you enter for the phone number #777
Make sure your sprint username and password are correct.
Makre sure you have Dial-up netowrking set to ON on the Treo.
I hope this helps you.

I had the same problem, and just rested the treo, and it went away.

Also, jimmie, do you know if Sprint is charging extra to use the phone in this manner?

No Sprint does not charge extra, as long as you have unlimited data.
