Sprint Treo 700p mid May, first week of June latest

Ok, I just spoke to my contact again a few minutes ago. The Treo 700p is most likely end of May, latest first week of June. She said said it was originally supposed to be mid may, but they are finishing up testing it. I asked if she could give me a price, she said it's $399 for a new 2 year contract, 499$ with 1 year. She said Sprint will be offering specials ie. accessories when you purchase from them, (probably) bt headsets. She checked the computer and said it will be on the Power Vision Network, EV-DO speeds (we knew that already). She also said it did not list any specs, like memory. She said to call Sprint to order it instead of going to a Sprint store as they will have greater supply through telesales. So it looks like we're even closer to the 700p finally getting released.

Excellent! Just in time to be a birthday present!

BTW, congrats! You made the front page of Memeorandum and Engadget!

well i guess that pictures not a prototype as i was kinda hopin they would ditch the antenae.

any hint of wifi, bigger ram, better battery etc??

cant wait..well seeing as i am in the uk i guess i will have to!!
8-)

I want one badly, but what exactly will be the differences between the two, It seems pretentious to switch to the latest model for EV-DO and a slightly better camera, id think.

Do you have an idea how much it will be without contract? Probably $599? Just curious...

Sure....it's great if you only want to use it in the US! Too bad Sprint had to go with a system hat only works in a few geographical areas.

Hopefully T-Mobile or Cingular will offer the phone in a few months but I won't hold my breath.

Hopefully it will have analog capability.
I have the Treo 650 without analog and the does not work in a lot of rural areas

looks like having a 650 again...keep 700w!!

they should release in time for mothers' day...

Thank you!
