"In today's earning phone call Ed Colligan confirmed that "in the coming weeks" more information would be provided regarding a new Treo marketed at current feature phone users who are more price sensitive. This model will be an international device, and is expected to be on 20 networks worldwide in only a few months.

This device has already been spotted on the Cingular network doing speed tests. It is expected to be the Treo 680, a GSM PalmOS based device with the same form factor as the Treo 750v, but with no infra-red and only a VGA camera. The device will also lack high speed 3G data.
