I saw this news on PalmAddict this morning.

A sad day, but a great one too. Marc is abandoning ChatterEmail, and is becoming an employee of Palm.

"As of this past Monday, I have become an employee of Palm, Inc. and will no longer be actively working on ChatterEmail. This is something of a bittersweet decision for me; ChatterEmail has, after all, been a major part of my life these past few years. On the other hand, I believe that my best chance to make a long-term contribution to the Palm/Treo community is to put my knowledge and experience to work in a larger cause. There are a number of necessary correlaries to this announcement: 1) I will no longer be actively developing ChatterEmail. However, ChatterEmail will continue to be available for new users through this site for the foreseeable future."

If you don't know what ChatterEmail is, it's push email for the Palm OS Treo. It's the same kind of email setup found on BlackBerries. I have used Chatter for years, and am sad to see Marc stop work on it. Good luck to him and his new venture with Palm, he'll be a great addition.
