Nintendo Wii poised to be #1 next generation game console
The Nintendo Wii has proven to be a huge success, even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Nintendo hit a home run with the way people play games on the Wii and that's what is moving them back into the position they once held before Sony came out with the first PlaySation. Currently the Xbox 360 has sold 5.6 million units (Xbox 360 has a year headstart compared to the Wii and PS3), the Wii has sold 2.8 million units, and the PlayStation 3 has sold 1.4 million units according to NPD Group Data from May.
