Sony cuts PS3 price to $499, 80GB PS3 to hit US in August for $599 Looks like Sony is still trying to sell more PS3's even though Nintendo is winning this race. Sony has decided to cut the price of the once top of the line 60GB PS3 to $499, and introduce a new 80GB verison for $599. Do they really think this is going to put a dent in the Wii's success?? I doubt it, but can't blame them for trying.
