The Sprint Treo Pro comes in the exact same packaging as the unlocked Treo Pro. Palm's packaging for the Sprint Treo Pro is very reminiscent of Apple's iPhone packaging. It's clear that Palm wants to make a great first impression before you even get to the Treo Pro inside its box and they succeed in doing so. Very classy!
Once you remove the top of the box of the Sprint Treo Pro the smartphone is on full display. No digging through CD's, setup guides, etc. It's all about the Treo Pro.
Inside the box you'll find:
Treo Pro smartphone
Removable 1500 mAh lithium-ion battery that Palm has already placed inside the Treo Pro (nice touch)
AC Phone Charger
MicroUSB sync cable (this plugs directly into the AC charger) and is also used to sync the Treo Pro with your computer.
Get Started Guide
There's no CD included in the box to setup the Treo Pro. Palm has actually put all of that software inside the Treo Pro itself. Once you connect the Treo Pro to your computer for the first time via the MicroUSB cable the software setup begins (another nice touch Palm!!)
In the next few days I'll post more thoughts about the Sprint Treo Pro and how it compares to my current smartphones. Stay tuned!
