I've been looking forward to the Pre since I first saw it in January. I was glad Palm's webOS appeared to have a seriously bright future, I'm still amazed at the things it can do. I'll admit I've used other smartphones and enjoyed some. I carry an iPhone 3G and a Treo 755p (crazy, I know). Palm OS (the ancient one ;) )still in my opinion has the hands down best PIM suite. I use the "old school" Palm built Tasks, Memos, and Contacts religiously. It's still the fastest way to enter and retrieve my information hands down.
When I saw "Classic" today it made me want the Pre even more. I could use those "old school" Palm built, Palm OS apps on my new Pre if I felt like I really needed them back. I could also use some of my favorite Palm OS apps like Agendus or PocketTunes just to name a few. I could use most of the apps that I've purchased over the 10 years that I've been using the Palm OS.
Trust me, I'm looking very forward to all the new features and new applications that will be coming to the Pre and Palm webOS, but it makes me even more psyched that with one application I can go "back to the future". Hats off to MotionApps and Palm for "Classic".
