Apple and Palm's flagship phones moved up the list from last quarter (iPhone 3GS #2, Palm Pre #7). The real surprise is who's not on the list. Windows Mobile for the 1st time doesn't have a single smartphone in the U.S. rankings.
"Microsoft is struggling in the smartphone market. Their Windows Mobile platform is no longer a strong player with rivals gaining market share.
The latest report by Gartner reveals that Windows Mobile had a market share of just around 7.9 percent in the third quarter of the year." Via Silobreaker .
