Hands on with iPhone OS 4 (some surprises)

New Home Screen and Dock

Wallpaper settings (just like iPad)

Multitasking in Safari

Multitasking in Mail

Show apps currently running in the background

Updated Mail app

Updated Notes app and currently opened apps

Search now includes Web and Wikipedia (very Palm webOS like)

Organize apps using Folders

Organizing games using Folders

New zoom capability in Camera

Even though Steve Jobs said "If you need to use a task manager, you're doing it wrong." You can close apps by tapping and holding a running app and then tapping the red line next to it to close. That sounds like a task manager to me.

Apple has once again built on and delivered an elegant, intuitive update to the iPhone OS. Very nice for the first beta!
