iPhone OS 4 out this summer for iPhone/iPod touch
iPhone OS 4 will be released this summer. You'll be able to upgrade your device, but only the latest and greatest get all the features of iPhone OS 4.
iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3rd generation (able to run all the new features of iPhone OS 4.
iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen, they will run many things... but there are some things they won't run, like multitasking.
No word on if the original iPhone will be upgradeable to iPhone OS 4.
